Bio & Philosophy

I am Kristina Barrett, owner of Good Egg Organizing.  I have worked as a professional organizer for clients throughout the North Carolina Triangle area after relocating from Charlotte. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, where I majored in Fine Arts with a minor in Psychology.

After working with clients for almost 15 years I have realized that I have been there during many significant life events. Marriages, births, divorces, deaths, illnesses, new jobs, retirements…The one common thread is that we all get overwhelmed at times in our lives and need support. It is so rewarding for me to be there for a client through a challenging time and to give them that support for a fresh start, much needed change or simply a sense of relief.

During my career as a professional organizer, I have worked with a variety of clients on a wide range of projects. I believe organization is about achieving a balance between function and form, therefore my methods are slightly different than some other organizers.  I believe that if you do all the hard work of cleaning out and decluttering a space then you should have some added incentive to maintain your new beautiful space.  That is where styling comes in or as I like to think of it, the icing on the cake.

Styling is when we take your newly organized room and we do a refresh or redesign of the interior style of the space.  This can include anything from new paint, better lighting, artwork, rugs, curtains, accessories, new furniture or re-purposing furniture from another room in the house. Even just changing the layout of the room can have a huge impact.
